SCHOOLWISE is a 36-month Erasmus+ project aiming to improve the use of educational data in European schools by developing a comprehensive framework for data literacy, ethical governance, and evidence-based decision-making. It combines technical, pedagogical, and regulatory dimensions, ensuring alignment with GDPR and the AI Act.
The project adopts a DIKW (Data–Information–Knowledge–Wisdom) approach and includes the development of toolkits, training programmes, and pilot implementations across several EU countries. It is supported by a strong and well-balanced consortium.
The proposal received an excellent score (93/100), highlighting its strong relevance, solid methodology, and high expected impact. Minor weaknesses relate to limited transferability, one partner’s marginal role, and unclear long-term financial sustainability.
